The usage of personal and identifying information on official pages is restricted to that allowed by federal, state, and local laws and by college standards for print publications. In particular, the Family Education Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a federal law which requires the College to maintain the confidentiality of student records, subject to various exceptions. The use of personal information that identifies individual students is prohibited. Pictures, video, audio, or personal information of or about a person or persons may not be used without the subject(s)'s expressed permission, particularly if the publication is to be used for commercial purposes.
